Use

Domains: Continuous. Size: 1-D. Kind: Iconic Diagrams (Hydraulics).

Description

This model describes a spring-loaded check valve. The resistance depends on the pressure difference:

dp < pclosed => valve closed, only leakage: pa.phi = pb.phi = (Q_leak/p_nom)*dp

pclosed < dp < popen => working range, i. e. valve partially opened

popen < dp => valve wide open: pa.phi = pb.phi = = Q_nom * sqrt( dp / p_nom) + (Q_leak/p_nom)*dp
