History of 20-sim
The current version of 20-sim is developed by CLP and originates from
the 20-sim, MAX, CAMAS and TUTSIM prototypes that were developed by
the Control Laboratory of the University of Twente.

Technical University of Twente SIMulation (TUTSIM)
The dynamic modeling and simulation software Tutsim® has been developed
at the University of Twente, but was sold in the late 70's. It is now
being sold by Actuality Corporation in the USA although no developments
have been reported on the program the last four years.
In the meanwhile the University of Twente has developed a new program,
20-sim, which is now being commercially sold by the company Controllab
Products B.V. (CLP). 20-sim is fully Tutsim compatible: especially Tutsim
users will appreciate the submodel libraries of 20-sim, which contain
all the standard Tutsim submodels ..... and many more. Modeling within
20-sim is very similar to the Tutsim approach. Convince yourself by
downloading the free demo/viewer
version of 20-sim and you will find out that modeling has never
been easier!
Computer-Aided Modeling Analysis and Simulation (CAMAS)
CAMAS was the prototype name for a modeling and simulation package
which has been developed after the Ph.D. project of Jan
Broenink. CAMAS is now commercially released using the brand name
20-sim ("Twente SIM").

Modeling and Analysis eXpert system (MAX)
MAX
was the prototype name for an expert system on modeling and simulation.
MAX was the result of the Ph.D. project of Theo
de Vries, Arno Breunese and Johannes
van Dijk (all supervised by Job
van Amerongen and Peter Breedveld).

20-sim
After extensive testing, in august 1995 version 1.0 of CAMAS has been
commercially released under the trade name 20-sim. When MAX
was incorporated, object-oriented modeling and SIDOPS+ were
introduced. Currently 20-sim version 4 runs on all Windows
versions.
